Opening and closing readings, test returns and reading sessions on the forecourt.
Meter readings are the source of truth for litres sold. Petronyx calculates sales per nozzle as the closing reading minus the opening reading, less any test returns.

Reading sessions
On the mobile app, attendants capture readings in a session that lists only the nozzles they are assigned. The session tracks which nozzles are done, so nothing is missed on a busy forecourt.
When a reading looks wrong
- A closing reading lower than the opening reading usually means a meter rollover or a typing error; check it before closing.
- A nozzle whose litres do not match its tank's dip movement appears in the reconciliation review with a variance note.
- Supervisors can query or approve a nozzle's reconciliation before the shift closes.
